I met Jeanette on Saturday, April 13 2013 at Tempe House Open Day during Heritage Week. She was introduced to me by an Arncliffe resident. Jeanette, who was a journalist, produced a You Tube of my Bottle Overboard story and titled it Anne’s Adventure .On August 9 2014, You Tube was up to 1556 views.
On July 19 2013, my blog annefield.net.au was set up. This blog has been very successful, and to date has been read in 80 countries around the world. This is an achievement given the fact that the blog has been established just only 12 months. I am delighted that my Moorefield Racecourse Speech to James Cook Boys High School, 2009 achieved 1000 views on August 9 2014, and My Bottle Overboard Speech is now into the early 900’s.
When I retired from St George Girls High School , Kogarah at the end of 2011, I knew that my third career was going to be as a writer- my first, for 36 years, was as a secondary teacher, and my second, for 17 years , as a Local Government Councillor. The door had been shut on these careers, so I needed to seek a new professional direction.
Chance meetings during 2013 and 2014, have a huge impact on both my writing direction and web presence.
