My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, LIZZIE – “LIZZIE MAYHEM “

Lizzie, my tri- coloured Cavalier King Charles Spaniel came to me with James, as rescue dogs, on March 3 2014. Lizzie was born on April 4 2003 and James on November 6 2002.  They could not be separated, so I agreed to take both of them.I renamed my tri after my late mother, Elizabeth, who was often called Lizzie.

My beautiful tri-coloured Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Marietta had passed away, aged 13, on February 20 2014. Harry, my Blenheim, could not be alone – he loves company. He certainly got it in a pint –sized mischievous Lizzie, and in gentleman James.

Little did I realise what a personality I had in my Lizzie.  She may only be small, but this belies Lizzie’s ability to get up to mischief.

I first noticed these “mischievous traits” at Easter time.  I had been given an Easter bun, and I foolishly left it on the kitchen table. When I came home from dinner, the bun was all over the floor, as was its plastic covering.

Her next misdeamour was in mid-April 2014.  I went to the door to talk to my lawn mowing man.  I returned to the kitchen table to find that the biscuits I had left there had disappeared – into Lizzie’s tummy! A week or so after this, a sandwich had disappeared from my plate on the kitchen table.   I then became astute to Miss Lizzie – she was using the chair to propel herself to the table to grab the food. Lesson learned –leave the chairs well away from the kitchen table when food is on it, and when I am not there to supervise.

On April 23 2014, she pulled my slippers out from the bedroom, and then proceeded to chew sizeable chunks out of them. The slippers were binned. Lizzie next had a nibble at my boots. Lesson learned –leave the bedroom door closed so that she has no access to my shoes ……

Another wonderful thing about Cardio Cocktail is that it is in a liquid form http://appalachianmagazine.com/2015/01/22/could-hemp-become-west-virginias-cash-crop/ sans prescription viagra and this makes administration easy. generic cialis cheap Alpha blockers used for BPH include doxazosin, terazosin, alfuzosin, and tamsulosin. Because the sildenafil 100mg price corpus cavernosum arteries so small that blood vessels occur most will start from the small vessels in the nose rupturing due to raised pressure. Young man and teenagers generic viagra tend to experience ED mainly due to anxiety and nervousness. On June 7 2014, Leesha and I were updating some local history notes on her lap top, and were sitting at an outdoor table. We had gourmet style sandwiches sitting on the table awaiting our well -deserved lunch break. Lizzie jumped onto the outdoor table, sitting directly behind Leesha’s laptop and seriously eyed off those sandwiches.

Lizzie suffers from “separation anxiety.”  I need to put her into the car first ; she cannot be left to last as she cries, fearful that she is to be left behind. It is for this reason that I now walk her first, and then take James and Harry together.

Her life is full of comforts. At times, she shares the same dog bed as Harry, and sometimes she rests her head on Harry’s rear end – her pillow. Occasionally, she does the same to James. Lizzie always sets the pace. “I am here to be noticed Mum”, and noticed she is……..

Lizzie eats well, sleeps well (sometimes she dreams in her sleep, or she snores) but she does not walk so well. Taking Lizzie on a walk is an exercise in much discipline and patience on my part. “Slow down Lizzie, slow, walk to the left Lizzie, slow, slow and slow.”  Three quarters of the way  through her walk we have achieved  something – Lizzie  decides to behave herself!

I have owned a number of Cavaliers: Raine, William, Angus McTavish,   Marietta, and now Harry and James. All have had their own unique personalities and a sense of style.  In Lizzie, I have Miss Personality and Miss Mischief all thrown into one pint -sized Cavalier. She is one amazing Cavalier; I adore my Lizzie Mayhem .
